Long lost friends

Today is the birthday of someone who used to be special to me. I met him about twelve years ago. It was july 1996, first day of high school. I developed a crush for him immediately. The little crush grew stronger and became the biggest crush in my life.. I kept it going on until we part, which means high school graduation. After that, i never knew anything about him... no news what so ever.. not even a trace.. In a way, I kinda miss him...

Thinking of him got me thinking of another friend, my childhood friend who i lost track of when we finish elementary school. Even my mom remembered him. A friend said that his family moved to Dumai, Riau, but I never really knew. He was the first close friend i ever had. We were in the same class for eight years, since kindergarten all the ways to six grade. Once in kindergarten, he hit me with a broomstick. When I told my father the story, he told me that if someone hit me I should hit him back. And so I did, a few days later. I hit him with another broomstick :D In the six grade, he had a crush on one of our classmates but she turned him down cold and harsh. I stood by him and lent him an ear.. This was my first experience as a 'relationship advisor'. The funny thing is that the people seeking my advise usually have more experience than I do. I seem to know all the theory and logic, but not the experience.. I finally stopped doing this in college..
